Hi there.

I’m a portrait artist whose work is inspired by people. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by others and have been drawn to capturing their individual beauty through visual art. Working primarily in oil paint, I create portraits that seek to capture both likeness and presence. I hope to preserve the fleetingness of time through a shared lived experience to create a timeless work of art that impacts both the sitter and the viewer.

I graduated from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia in 2005 with a degree in Illustration. After completing my studies, I participated in group shows, most notably at Artists’ House Gallery in Philadelphia, worked on commissioned portraits, and even taught beginner drawing workshops.

From there, I got swept up by the world of advertising, which can be a magical place for a creative person. There, I spent nearly two decades building a career as a graphic designer, art director, and creative director. This professional experience sharpened my visual sensibility, deepened my understanding of storytelling, composition, and the emotional impact of imagery.

Throughout those many years, my passion for fine art remained constant, and I have now refocused my attention to pursue one of my basic needs in life—to paint.

Today, my work reflects a lifelong fascination with humanity and a belief that every person carries a unique and beautiful story, as well as my passion to create meaningful works of art.
