For me, drawing and painting portraits is the most intimate form of people-watching. If you’ve ever sat in a bustling train station or a quiet small town and felt drawn to the people around you, curious about who they are and what their lives hold, then we are cut from the same cloth.

I genuinely love meeting people, hearing their stories, and taking the time to really see them. Creating a portrait allows me to study a face and its expressions in a way nothing else can. It’s a process rooted in observation—one of the reasons I’m drawn to realism. It asks us to slow down, to pay attention, and to honor what is right in front of us.

This work brings me a deep sense of joy. My hope is not only to create a portrait, but to create an experience—something meaningful, lasting, and felt long after the work is finished. Learn more about me
